The Board of Perry Township Trustees met in Special Session on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at at the East Liberty Community Room. Roll Call: Gary Baker, present, Jeff Rosebrook, present, Merle Ackley, present and Cindy Stalling, present. Also present was Dan Ackley, Weston Dodds, Keith Montgomery, Bob Jackson, Sr., Beverly Wolf, Melony Baker, Charles Bell, Richard Stanley, Don Henry, George Clapsaddle, Jack Nicholas, and Tim Stalling.
Mr. Weston Dodds, of LUC Regional Planning Commission called the meeting to order and went over the results from the survey that we sent out to Perry Township Property owners almost a year ago.
Mr. Dodds stated that he thinks we should go ahead with a Comprehensive Plan for Perry Township. This plan would encompass roads, sidewalks, central sewage, land use, and how zoned and how to use the land in the future.
Mr. Dodds stated that we need to get a Steering Committee together so that we can continue with meetings on this and invite the public to the meetings. We should give the public like the last 15 minutes of the meeting for comments. Mrs. Stalling will continue to advertise all meetings for this Comp. Plan.
Mr. Dodds went over all the results with the boards.
The Steering committee would work hand in hand with LUC. Mr. Dodds stated that is usually takes around 18 months to put together one of these plans.
After much discussion and some questions for Mr. Dodds, we set up our next meeting for Jan. 15, 2009 at at the East Liberty Community Room. We will advertise this meeting and put in there that we encourage the public to attend.
Mr. Dodds adjourned the meeting.
