The Board of Perry Township Trustees met in Special Session on Monday, November 24, 2008 at at the East Liberty Community Room. The purpose of this meeting was to meet with our Insurance agent, Mr. James Organ.
Roll Call: Gary Baker, present, Jeff Rosebrook, present, Merle Ackley, present and Cindy Stalling, present. Also present was Melony Baker.
Mrs. Stalling reported that Mr. Organ called her just before she left to come to the meeting and said that he could not make the meeting. He went home after work and before coming to our meeting, and while he was at home, they lost their electricity, so he could not get his car out of their garage.
Mr. Baker called the meeting to order.
The difference in the policy that we have now and the policy that Mr. Organ presented to us at our last meeting is $27,126.92 per year.
Mrs. Stalling contacted the Log. Co. Prosecuting Attorney and he told her that we can get dental and vision coverage but we would have to purchase those policies out of our pockets that the township could not pay for these for us. After some discussion, Mr. Merle Ackley, Mr. Jeff Rosebrook, Mr. Dave Sharp and Mrs. Cindy Stalling would all like to purchase the dental and vision policies out of our pockets.
We called Mr. Organ on the phone and he answered any questions that we had for him.
Mr. Gary Baker moved the following Resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Trustees of Perry Township that the policy of paying hospitalization for all elected officials and full time employees will be continued. All policy coverage is to be the same terms and any premiums adjustments will be made at the arrival of the next notice of each policy.
BE IT RESOLVED, that if any elected official chooses not to have hospitalization coverage, that he/she may so elect to have life insurance coverage instead.
BE IT RESOLVED, that said payment shall be made from the General Fund, Gas Fund, Road and Bridge Fund, Cemetery Fund, Park Fund and Special Fund as appropriated.
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that in the event of a change or loss of the now existing coverage the Township would at that time pick up full hospitalization to match the terms of the other official’s policies. Until such time life insurance coverage will be selected if he/she chooses the life insurance policy instead.
Mr. Merle Ackley seconded the Resolution and the roll being called upon its adoption, the vote resulted as follows:

Mr. Gary Baker made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Merle Ackley. Baker, yes, Rosebrook, yes and Ackley, yes.
